Troubleshooting Stripe onboarding
Most onboarding issues are caused by unfinished Stripe requirements, mismatched public details, or account verification still in progress.
Payments connected does not appear
- Return to Settings > Selling and click Continue setup.
- Open Stripe and check for required identity, business, tax, or bank details.
- Wait a few minutes after completing Stripe onboarding. Some status updates arrive by webhook.
Statement descriptor errors
Stripe requires your statement descriptor to resemble your legal name, business name, or website. If Stripe rejects the descriptor, use a short version of your artist or business name.
Support button does not appear
The Support button appears only after Stripe reports that your connected account can accept charges and receive payouts. If setup is incomplete, finish the missing steps in Stripe first.

If Stripe says your account is complete but PlayList still does not show payments as connected, contact support@playlist.social with the email address on your PlayList account.
