Music-sale fees

PlayList charges a 10% platform fee on digital song and album sales.

For example, a $10 music purchase has a $1 PlayList platform fee. The remaining $9 is the artist subtotal before Stripe payment-processing fees, taxes, refunds, or other adjustments.

Stripe processing fees are separate and still apply to every music purchase. The final amount received by the artist will therefore be lower than the sale price minus the PlayList platform fee alone.

Tip fees

PlayList charges a 0% platform fee on one-time fan tips. PlayList does not take a commission from the tip itself.

Stripe payment-processing fees still apply. The final amount received by the artist may be reduced by those fees or other Stripe adjustments.

Payout timing

Payout timing depends on Stripe, your country, your connected account status, and your payout settings. New Stripe accounts may have additional verification or waiting periods before payouts are available.

Features not available today

PlayList currently supports digital song and album sales plus one-time tips. Physical merch, supporter subscriptions, preorders, and discount codes are not currently available.

If PlayList launches additional monetization features, their fees will be published before artists are asked to use them.
