I've been playing bass for 18 years. Never actually learned all that much about it, though. Still have to think for a moment to figure out what note I'm playing. That said, I play quite a lot and for 18 years it has been almost entirely improv. If, for whatever reason, that sounds like somebody you'd like to play with...I dunno, I'm new here, I don't really know how this works. Follow your heart. I don't really like to limit myself, I'll play anything if I like the vibe.
