For the past year and a half, I have served as the frontman, guitarist, founder and songwriter of Rob Cantillon & the Pocket 10s, a NYC-based rock band. We have experience playing live at venues around NYC, including Berlin Under A, Heaven Can Wait, Pete's Candy Store, and the Delancey, and have recorded two singles so far that we're producing and will release shortly. I have nearly a decade of guitar experience, including four years studying with a classically-trained guitarist, and about five years experience playing bass guitar. I am a vocalist as well, and can play fundamental harmonica. This spring, I was the bass player for Ethan Thomas' NYC band, and played at a number of New York venues, including Pianos and Hart Bar. I am looking to connect with musicians on new bands and/or musical projects. I love to play live, and would love the opportunity to collaborate on new songs for release. I am particularly interested in a band/project that would take influence from rock and/or grunge. My principal influences include: Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Alice In Chains, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, and The Rolling Stones. I am a recent college graduate and a trained playwright, a practice which I find integrally influences my songwriting, and vice versa. Please reach out if you have any interest in starting a band, if you are a band looking for a guitarist or bass player, or if you have any questions or music-related topics you'd like to discuss.
