hey i've been playing the drums for 20 years, i'm newish to NYC, looking to find a good band. i'm kinda an indie rock guy i guess, but a little abstract i like a lot of electronic music too, techno, kraut rock, stuff like Can and NEU. I've been listening to a lot of ENO recently, ha, no drums on most of that stuff. you can hear my playing with Chow Chow on most streaming apps (album colour and lines) it's a little old, but you get the idea. i sing as well - again you'll hear me on about 1/2the songs on chow chow. i'm from new zealand, so have an accent, which i sing with too. oh- yeah like most of the flying nun stuff as well. if you don't know that label it's v. good. i care more about melodies and song structure than having sick drum beats (though ideally both)....would be cool to meet and have a jam, i really like writing songs with people. i'm open to lots of stuff, i'm no good at 'play like this' kinda drumming, but think i'm good at writing drums lines that suit the music - listen to the chow chow stuff... we'll click or we won't, all good.
