Before kids I played bass in a highly in-demand AC/DC tribute band that gigged out monthly in large Chicago rock bars. After the third child, my wife (still my wife!) made me quit the band. Now they’re grown. I pulled my bass out of storage and am working out the fingers again. I’m not an expert, but I can keep a consistent beat and can learn most songs correctly. I’m open to good advice. I am a self-employed professional computer programmer since the 80’s, so I’m not doing this for fortune or fame. It’s all about enjoying the pursuit of perfecting the cover tune, and having a good time. Would like to eventually play gigs after we have enough songs down. Likes: late 60’s, all 70’s some 80’s. Rock, funk (if I can play it LOL), disco, Latin Don’t loves: punk, songs with 3 notes, drum machines, most “modern” music made primarily on computers and auto tune. I’m reliable, don’t have hang ups (other than wanting to “get it right”), don’t drink > 1 lite beer when I’m playing, and I show up for practice. I can cover backing vocals. I live in Estero, so for the right band, I can go anywhere between Naples and Ft. Myers.
