Journey Payne

My name is Journey Payne, and I'm 17 years old. I'm a big fan of medieval music and a former percussion player—I used to play in the school band. For my potential music ensemble, I want the genre to be medieval folk, as that's the style I love most. My favorite medieval music groups include Ensemble Gilles Binchois, Ensemble Alla Francesca, Annwn, Faun, Ensemble Micrologus, etc. I've been passionate about medieval music since third grade, when I discovered it through a YouTube video on the evolution of music. My favorite medieval song might be Gratulemur Christicole, which was likely the first one I heard. I enjoy all kinds of medieval folk songs, and I want my band to have that timeless medieval vibe because medieval music will always hold a special place in my heart.
