Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty worked in the same tradition as blues heroes of old, performing in dive bars and private parties across the USA. Doctor Dan’s Music Show follows that same tradition. Dr. Dan first performed at age 13 at the local community center and continued with thousands of stops at juke joints, dive-bars and small theaters from the East Coast to the West Coast, hitting Nashville, Austin, Memphis and New Orleans with members of Fats Dominoe’s band—and it continues today, paying dues, ducking bar stools and flying beer bottles, and surviving the brutal road from Jackson Hole to Jacksonville. Good times performing with members of Steely Dan, Aretha Franklin’s band, Gregg Allman’s bands and finally gaining enough recognition to perform at Farm Aid with Willie Nelson and Neil Young. Dan says, "I think Johnny Cash wrote ‘I’ve been everywhere, man’ about me!” #26 on the jamband/Relix charts https://jambands.com/radio-charts/2019/12/29/kitchen-dwellers-in-first-position/ #16 in November. https://jambands.com/radio-charts/2019/11/29/keller-the-keels-speed-to-1/
