Hello! My name is Ben, I'm a 22 year old musician who recently graduated from Colorado College in Colorado Springs. I'm not currently located in New York, but I'm hoping to move there by the beginning of 2022 or earlier, if I can get something set up. In the mean time, I'm trying to meet musicians from the area and see what's up. I'd also love to collaborate with musicians online, so if you're interested then lmk I specialize in drums and can (somewhat) hold my own on bass. I also play a bit of guitar and keys but you don't wanna hear that. My drum sound is rooted in punk/metal since that's what I grew up playing, but I started studying jazz in high school which has morphed my playing a lot. My influences and inspirations include Erkyah Badu, Mononeon, black midi, J Dilla, JD Beck/DOMi, Death Grips, Mark Guiliana, tricot, Crumb, Khruangbin, Jill Scott, Tower of Power, Nirvana, Mike Mitchell, Sput, Sarah Thawer, the list goes on and it's constantly evolving, there are always crazy new sounds coming from everywhere
