LOCATION Milwaukee, WI (in-person lessons)

HOURS Must be available a minimum of two 3–4 hour shifts per week (Mon–Fri afternoons/evenings or Saturday morning blocks).

COMPENSATION $28-30 per hour, based on experience and instrument.

Milwaukee Music Lessons is a modern, family-friendly music lesson studio in Milwaukee. We help kids and adults learn piano, guitar, drums, and voice, with a focus on playing real songs, building confidence, and creating a positive, encouraging experience.

We currently serve over 120 local families and are growing. Our team handles marketing, billing, scheduling, and parent communication so our instructors can focus on what they do best: teaching.

We’re hiring part-time Music Instructors to teach private lessons to kids (ages 6+) and adult beginners on piano, guitar, drums, or voice. This role is ideal for music majors, recent grads, or experienced musicians who enjoy mentoring beginners and want stable, paid teaching experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach high-quality 30- or 60-minute private lessons to students of all ages and skill levels (primarily beginners). Arrive 5–10 minutes before your first lesson to prepare. Use our studio systems to track student goals and progress. Provide clear, encouraging feedback to students and parents. Prepare students for recitals and studio events as appropriate. Maintain a clean, professional teaching space. Participate in occasional trainings, team meetings, or workshops. QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Strong musical skills on at least one of: piano, guitar, drums, or voice. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Enjoy working with kids and adult beginners. Clear, friendly communication. Preferred:

Prior teaching, tutoring, coaching, or camp/mentor experience. Coursework in Music, Music Education, Performance, or a related field. Ability to teach a secondary instrument is a plus. Personal Qualities:
